Cruzin’ the Tobacco Trail

I had a busy week, and I had been planning on doing a ride with the cycling club at school on Saturday. That didn’t work out, but I was able to go on a short ride with my brother and Dustin.

When we left, we weren’t sure where we wanted to ride. We started out riding towards Woodcroft. We all had to be back by 3:30, and by the time we were at Woodcroft it was about 2:20. So, we decided to ride the Tobacco Trail for half an hour or so and then start heading home.

The weather was supposed to be really chilly, but when we were riding, about mid-afternoon, the weather was fine. It was about 65 with a slight breeze. I wore a long-sleeve shirt and it was warm enough.

We rode the Tobacco Trail almost all the way to the Durham Bulls ballpark, but we turned around when we were a few blocks away. I had a nice ride, and we got back at 3:20 (nice timing!). We weren’t riding at top speed, but I rode enough to get my heart pumping by the time I was back. :) I think we rode about 14 miles.
