weekendcycling: a blog about cycling in Durham, North Carolina
This is my weblog, a journal of my bike rides, as well as an extension of my opinions, thoughts, and ideas regarding cycling and related topics. Enjoy your time here, and be sure to subscribe (email or RSS feed) to future posts.
My writing is fairly specific and may seem like it is only intended as a guide for cyclists who live in my area. To solve this problem, I try to include maps, photos, and web links so you are able to get a pretty good idea of what I am writing about without being familiar with the places themselves.

There are many layers that work together to make this site work. The page you see is a synthesis of PHP, XHTML for structure, and CSS for presentation. In addition, links are XFN friendly.
The backend is powered by Wordpress, and the site is hosted by the great folks over at Steelpixel.
The only textual fonts used are Verdana and Lucida Grande, while the logo is set in the amazing Matrix Inline Script designed by Emigre. Many thanks to Mike Rundle for help with the design.
